Corey Dion Lewis

Award-Winning Public Health Storyteller | Founder,Healthy Project Media

I create podcasts, films, and digital content that make health equity real and relatable. My work centers culture, lived experience, and community voice—turning complex public health topics into stories that resonate, educate, and inspire action.

About Me

I’m Corey Dion Lewis—a public health storyteller and community builder who believes that the most powerful health interventions don’t happen in clinics. They happen through connection, culture, and conversation.

For over a decade, I’ve used media to bridge the gap between public health and the communities it’s meant to serve. I create podcasts, documentaries, and digital projects that center lived experience and amplify community voice. From Black men’s health to mental wellness to chronic disease prevention, I transform complex health topics into content people actually want to engage with.

As founder of **The Healthy Project** and **My City My Health**, I’ve built platforms where health storytelling meets community impact. My work has earned recognition from the Iowa Public Health Association, Des Moines Business Record’s 40 Under 40, and the NAACP Des Moines Chapter.

But here’s what matters most: I believe everyone deserves to see themselves reflected in the health conversation. That’s why I do this work—to make health feel real, relatable, and rooted in the communities I serve.
